What is satanism?

Satanism is a philosophy founded in 1966 by Anton szandor lavey. the philosophy Is of an atheistic rather than a spiritual one, and focuses on the carnal (human animal) rather than the supernatural. The beliefs however do vary because each satanist is their own person and we do not all think alike. It encourages its follower to be freethinking individuals with open minds. Unlike the Christian religion satanism does condone all types of sexualities and accepts man for what he is truly (animalistic by nature). We do not believe in god or the devil, Satan is used symbolically being that the name in Hebrew means adversary, opposer, one to accuse or question. We see ourselves as the adversaries of all spiritual religions that make people focus on some afterlife and waste their current lives. We do however have rituals we do which I will cover on another blog. But one however is called a destruction ritual which is a way of going into a theatrical place and releasing any tension that’s affecting you from living your best life. Satanism encourages strong love to those who deserve it. Basically as stated in the 9 satanic statements it says satan represents love to those who deserve it, instead of love wasted on ingrates. This means love those who truly love you back and don’t waste your time or energy on someone who could give a damn less. Another emotion is hate. Also stated in the satanic Bible that those who do you wrong or try to harm you or your family it’s not wrong for you to hate them. After all we as humans can love strongly or hate strongly. In general satanism is not a religion of evil but rather a religion of life and living it to the fullest. You are your own god and anything that happens in life is of your own choices be they good or bad.
